Sarah Palin Under Investigation

Yes the historic nomination of Sarah Palin as McCain’s VP continuously adds more stories to an already comical pick.

According to CNN.com: Alaska’s state legislature voted to spend $100,000 to investigate Sarah Palin’s role in breaking an ethics/personnel rules by firing the state’s public safety commissioner. The commissioner, Walt Monegan, a gubernatorial appointee, said after he was let go in July that he felt pressured by the governor’s office to fire Palin’s ex-brother-in-law, Mike Wooten, a state trooper who had been locked in a messy divorce and child-custody battle with Palin’s sister.

In explaining Monegan’s termination, Palin said she wanted to take the Alaska Department of Public Safety in a “different, more energetic direction,” according to the Anchorage Daily News. But in announcing Branchflower’s appointment, Legislative Council Chairman Kim Elton said, “Alaskans are calling for a complete and fair investigation into why Walt Monegan was fired and if it had anything to do with Trooper Mike Wooten.”

Sarah Palin: you have been a governor for a mere 20 months, how could you possibly be under investigation already?  Is America really ready to vote for a governor under investigation by the state she governs? In the words of one great U.S. Congressman: “WAKE UP AMERICA!”

First of all, if I read the words, “high school basketball star and beauty queen” one more time, I am going to puke. What does that have to do with qualifications for a job that is a heartbeat away from the presidency?

Is she on the ticket because of how she looks? Being governor of a state with just over 600,000 residents isn’t very impressive to me.

If Barack Obama had been under investigation when he began his campaign, where do you think he would be now? Hillary would be the nominee! Barack got chastised for just listening to his preacher preach. Here is a person, Palin, who is criminally-minded and lied about it. I admit her brother-in-law is a dirtbag. But how are you supposed to handle such a situation? Lawfully, that’s how. We don’t want a known adulterer and a law breaker to go into the White House.

I agree with you guys, this is not about her being a beauty queen. Sarah palin is not qualified to be the president if something happens to John Mccain. I think that the media is biased in alot of ways. Anything about Barack gets dogged out. Now the are trying to make Sarah Palin to be more than what she is.

    Bush Method:
Choose staff members who are strictly right wing loyalists,
Let them remain in power until their incompetence either screws
the public or they get investigated for some crime.

    McCain Method:
Choose staff members who are already under investigation
for abuse of power charges, and hope the public won’t notice.

This saves a LOT of time. This is the kind of CHANGE
    McCain will bring. ;-)
