Ted Stevens Trailing…

November 13, 2008

Alaska what on god’s green earth has gotten into you?75292042CS020_SENATORS_ATTE

You try to pawn off Sarah Palin, thanks but no thanks. Now you’re close to re-electing Ted Stevens, a convicted felon as a senator?

7 Felony counts, but Country First!

Thankfully 125,019 of you have some semblance of wits about you.  Unfortunately 125,016 do not. Correct, Democrat Mark Begich, the two-term mayor of Anchorage is winning the recount by three votes.

Alaska, if you vote in Ted Stevens again. Someone who is probably insane, and somewhat senile then I will have lost hope for that state.

If Ted Stevens is elected other senators said they would vote to expel him. If he is expelled then Sarah Palin said she would be interested in serving in the senate.

When my namesake fought so that Americans can have fair and just representation in government. We did not see career politicians or half witted people appealing to people’s most base instincts playing on their fear running for office and winning. This is a shame and a mockery of democracy.

Alaska, don’t let this republic die.

DO NOT ELECT TED STEVENS, please.

Northern Exposure: Ted Stevens found guilty

October 28, 2008
Ted Stevens

Ted Stevens

It seems the not so honorable 84 year old Senior Senator from Alaska Theodore Fulton Stevens aka Ted Stevens has been found guilty of all seven felony counts he was charged with. These charges stem from gifts received by the senator ranging around a quarter of a million dollars. Some of which were used to renovate his home.

For those that aren’t familiar with Senator Stevens he was the Senator who infamously said the “internet is not a truck. It is a series of tubes.”

I just the other day got… an Internet was sent by my staff at 10 o’clock in the morning on Friday. I got it yesterday [Tuesday]. Why? Why? Because it got tangled up with all these things going on the Internet commercially. They want to deliver vast amounts of information over the Internet. And again, the Internet is not something that you just dump something on. It’s not a big truck. It’s a series of tubes.

All that aside, all of these charges come after Ted Stevens claim of “I’m innocent” on July 31, 2008.

After all of this, he is still planning to run for re-election. Now you may ask what that means. He could theoretically still be Senator while in prison. However the Senate can kick him out with a two-thirds vote of the entire Senate.

Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) issued a statement regarding the conviction.

“Senator Stevens was found guilty by a jury of his peers, and now must face the consequences of those actions. As a result of his conviction, Senator Stevens will be held accountable so the public trust can be restored.”

Many believe that he will seek a pardon from Republican President Bush before he leaves office. It seems this is just another corrupt republican being found out and exposed to be the criminal he is.

Sarah Palin Under Investigation

August 30, 2008

Yes the historic nomination of Sarah Palin as McCain’s VP continuously adds more stories to an already comical pick.

According to CNN.com: Alaska’s state legislature voted to spend $100,000 to investigate Sarah Palin’s role in breaking an ethics/personnel rules by firing the state’s public safety commissioner. The commissioner, Walt Monegan, a gubernatorial appointee, said after he was let go in July that he felt pressured by the governor’s office to fire Palin’s ex-brother-in-law, Mike Wooten, a state trooper who had been locked in a messy divorce and child-custody battle with Palin’s sister.

In explaining Monegan’s termination, Palin said she wanted to take the Alaska Department of Public Safety in a “different, more energetic direction,” according to the Anchorage Daily News. But in announcing Branchflower’s appointment, Legislative Council Chairman Kim Elton said, “Alaskans are calling for a complete and fair investigation into why Walt Monegan was fired and if it had anything to do with Trooper Mike Wooten.”

Sarah Palin: you have been a governor for a mere 20 months, how could you possibly be under investigation already?  Is America really ready to vote for a governor under investigation by the state she governs? In the words of one great U.S. Congressman: “WAKE UP AMERICA!”
